Development of higher functional stand-up refill pouches by spout improvement

Stand-up pouches are suitable for refill containers from various standpoints, light weight, ease of reducing the volume, ease of selecting the packaging materials, and a variety of printing designs. In an effort to satisfy our customer demand, Toyo Seikan Kaisha, Ltd. has developed a very du- rable and easy to tear multi-layer film for stand-up refill pouches about l0 years before. Refill products have been showing tremendous growth in recent years. As the market expands, there is a demand for new generation stand-up pouches with more convenient functions. To respond to the need for high performance stand-up refill pouches for liquid products, we have developed higher functional stand-up pouches that feature innovative spout designs. In this article, we introduce the following three types of stand-up refill pouches f Stretch-formed spout type pouch (Furosu Pouch), Branch style pouch, and Reclosable screw cap type pouch. We considered the functional balance of stand-up refill pouches when we devised the spout forms.
