Capturing children's minds in the glass recycling process

The largest glass manufacturer in Africa, Consol Glass, recently hosted an awards ceremony where Vuyani Primary School (Guguletu) took top honours for its collection of 13 868kg of waste glass (19,81kg per learner).rnThe initiative, which has grown in popularity since its inception four years ago, mobilised close on 60 Cape Town schools to participate in the 2008 glass recycling competition. Overall competition recycling quotas closed with an impressive 158 904kg of waste glass recovered for recycling.
