The art and correct science of paper manufacture

Before paper and paper board manufacturing can take place, a water licence to plant the trees for commercial use has to be obtained. Before submitting the final application for the afforestation licence, an environmental impact assessment also needs to be conducted and representatives from the departments of agriculture, water and environment have to make a site visit. Although this can be a tedious process, it definitely ensures that all trees for paper making are planted only where it makes sound environmental sense to do so. A key advantage of paper manufacture is that paper is a consistently renewable resource that is 100% sustainable.
