Benson Group, the carton-board packaging manufacturer, is installing a new Fujifilm platesetter and three Bobst machines at its UK plants as part of an ongoing investment plan.rnThe fully automated PlateRite 8800II platesetter being installed at the firm's plant in Bardon, Leicestershire will enable it to meet increased demand for shorter runs and the corresponding requirements for plates.rnBenson Group managing director Mark Kerridge said the Bardon plant's output had trebled to ￡30m per year since 2000, while average run lengths fell from 14,000 to 10,000 sheets. The PlateRite 8800II can make 42 press-ready Bl plates an hour.
