Le chondrosarcome mésenchymateux des tissus mous, une tumeur rare. à propos d’un cas

Extraskeletal mesenchymal chondrosarcoma refers to a rare tumour of the soft tissues that constitutes a distinct entity with specific clinical, pathological, and immunohistochemical patterns and general course. We report the case of a 44-year old man who presented with a cervical nodule that remained asymptomatic for many years but began to augment in size two years earlier. The tumour was excised at that time and the histopathological diagnosis indicated erroneously a mixed tumour of the salivary glands. After then, three consecutive exereses were performed due to local tumour recurrences. After the fourth recurrence, the histopathological examination with immunohistochemical assays revealed an extraskeletal mesenchymal chondrosarcoma. Adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy were carried out. Distant cutaneous and bone metastases occurred.
