摘要

Boron (B) is one of the sixteen essential elements required for the normal growth of most higher plants. It has a considerable effect on plants in two ways: either by affecting plant nutrition, if it is deficient in the soil, or because of toxicity if it is present in excessive amounts. It is well known that there is a very narrow range between the concentration of boron in soil solution that causes B deficiency and the concentration that causes toxicity symptoms in plants (Keren and Bingham, 1985).
