Ethanol Makers Shake Off 2008-2009 Doldrums,Output Hits New Highs

Total ethanol production in the U.S. over March reached 26.27 million bbl, or more than 1.103 billion gallons, according to monthly data released by the U.S. Energy Department's Energy Information Administration. That was up more than 2.94 million bbl from February, an increase of 12.6%, and some 32.4% more than producers made over the same month last year.
