Chevron greenlights Platong Gas II project

U.S.-based Chevron Corp. and its partners have greenlighted construction of the Platong Gas II natural gas project in the Gulf of Thailand. Total development cost of the field is approximately US$3.1 billion. Operations will begin in the first quarter of 2011.
