摘要

The Geopoint Processing system was developed to transform raw bathymetric survey data into GIS ready data sets utilizing the scalable computing resources available through cloud computing. The primary rationale for developing the service is to improve data processing rates, as well as minimize computational resources required. In doing so, a highly efficient and scalable system has evolved which provides many advantages to the user. An efficient solution of this type brings with it questions of job partitioning, storage, retrieval, reliability, and robustness. This study considers the processing requirements and compares the output to the corresponding National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Bag file.
