IAEA Expresses Concern about Nuclear Waste near Domestic Sites

The IAEA has requested to examine Japan's nuclear waste that is usually not subject to its scrutiny. Japan is required to consult the IAEA before disposing of nuclear wastes, according to a 1977 safeguard agreement, the Japan Times reported earlier this month.
