Government plans 14 power reactors by 2030

The Government OF vietnam has set out a three-phased master plan for developing a nuclear power program that includes the construction of 14 units. The plan, released on June 23, has been approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and follows the approval last November by the National Assembly of an initial nuclear program and the government's decision to begin negotiations with Russia for the first two 1000-MWe class units.
