Georgia Power is cutting nearly2,000 workers from its Plant Vogtleexpansion project as the novelcoronavirus continues to spread,absenteeism grows, and more than400 workers have self isolated.The cuts are expected to continue intothe summer, according to the utility'sparent company Southern Co., whichsaid the project is expected to staywithin its latest budget and completionschedule, “assuming absenteeismrates normalize and the intendedproductivity efficiencies are realized inthe coming months.”
