The USDepartment of Energy (DoE) has chosen Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) as the management and operating contractor for the Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken, South Carolina. The contract is a cost plus award fee contract valued at about $800 million a year and is for a five-year period. In addition, there are five one-year renewal options, bringing the potential total contract value to $8 billion.
