摘要

In facing up to the challenges presented by market globalization, process analytical technology (PAT) has been recognised as a framework for innovative process manufacturing and quality assurance for current and future industries. Advanced sensing techniques have become widely available in the last decade as a consequence of advances in computers and related technologies. These enable measurements to be conducted over spatial and temporal dimensions which employ multiple sensors based on multiple physical and chemical properties of a given process. There is no doubt that the multi-dimensional technologies as a part of PAT will play an increasingly important role in industrial processes.
