Joint presidential address

As the final galleys of the Nuclear Engineer and Nuclear Energy go to print, we thought it would be appropriate to have a joint address from the presidents of the INucE and the BNES. In jointly writing this address we applaud the success that both publications have had over the years and also endorse what the new joint journal will bring to you, the members. In addition we are sharing with you the arrangements now being finalised for the operation of a joint secretariat to better provide the administration of your institute and your society. How have we arrived at this position? For many years now the INucE and BNES have collaborated on a number of key nuclear issues within the UK arena and out of the synergy that has developed we have successfully operated joint regional branches. It is therefore not surprising that we should consider a closer collaboration at headquarters level.
