Nuclear industry responds to the house of Commons 'Keeping the lights on' inquiry

In July, parliament's Environmental Audit Committee launched an inquiry entitled 'Keeping the Lights on: Nuclear, Renewables and Climate Change'. The inquiry scope was to focus on the relative costs of different technologies, including nuclear, various renewables (wind, wave, tidal) and microgeneration, and the contributions which they can make. It followed calls from a House of Lords committee for the government to review its climate change policy and maintain the current capacity of nuclear power in the UK.
