Over the past decade there have been numerous organisational disasters that have caught the attention of the public, no more so than the recent disaster involving the Russian Submarine Nerpa. The title picture shows K-152 Nerpa returning to port at the naval base of Bolshoi Kamen on November 9th, 2008. In the incident, which occurred during trials in the Sea of Japan, at least 20 people were suffocated by the fire-fighting gas, Freon.
