Lucideon, a world-leading materials technology company, has recruited a new technical sales consultant for nuclear, David Barrientos.His primary focus will be to support Lucideon's continued growth, as well as finding new opportunities in the USA nuclear industry.With a BSc in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida, Barrientos's past roles lie in nuclear fuels engineering. Areas of experience include detrimental materials, stress corrosion cracking and commercial grade dedications for nuclear fuels operations.Prior to joining Lucideon, he was employed by Duke Engineering. During his time at Duke Engineering, Barrientos worked within the Spent Fuel Management Group where he dealt with spent fuel and the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) for the Duke Nuclear fleet. He was responsible for the fuel characterisation of the entire spent fuel pool at Crystal River Unit 3 during the transition from wet to dry storage.
