On the Theory of Two-Dimensional Artificial Strip Conductor Media

A new method is proposed for calculating the equivalent constitutive parameters of two-dimensional (2D) artificial media consisting of metal conductors. The method involves the analysis of homogeneous integral equations for eigenmode currents in a doubly periodic structure. For an artificial medium formed of strip conductors, the permittivity tensor is found.
