Spontaneous Infralow-Frequency Generation Observed in the Current Noise of a Back-Biased Stabilitron

In the course of continuous long-term measurements, the time behavior of the current in back-biased stabilitrons operating at a fixed voltage was investigated. Spontaneous generation of current pulses in a frequency range of 0.3―50 mHz was discovered. Possible physical processes causing the observed generation are discussed.
