In Memoriam: Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kotel'nikov

Russian science has suffered a great loss. An outstanding scientist and engineer in the field of radio physics and information science, Counselor of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the founder and first editor in chief of the journal Radiotekhnika i Elektronika (Journal of Communications Technology and Electronics), Academician Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kotel'nikov passed away on February 11, 2005, at the age of 96.
