摘要

The transmission-matrix method is applied to determine the exponent of the singularity of the electromagnetic field on the edge of open and closed multisector wedge-shaped dielectric structures. Dispersion equations are derived and solved in an analytic form. It is shown that, in the presence of media with negative permittivities and/or permeabilities, the exponent of the singularity may be complex-valued. The conditions providing for the purely imaginary exponent of the singularity are presented.
