Trinidad and Tobago: Center stage

Oil and gas provide the twin-island Caribbean republic of Trinidad and Tobago with the backbone of its economy, which the International Monetary Fund predicts will grow from 0.9 percent in 2019 to 2.2 percent in 2023. But Trinidad and Tobago is now utilizing its location as a gateway to North and South America to become the regional hub in many other sectors, including transport, logistics, technology, maritime, manufacturing, real estate and financial services.
