Obituary - David Bruce Leitch

Dave Leitch passed at Waikanae on 21 December 2020 after a long illness, which in later years saw him confined to a wheelchair. He was 80 years old. His disabilities did not stop him leading a very active life, mainly revolving around steam locomotives. Born and bred in Masterton, he joined a Masterton law practice after obtaining a law degree from Victoria University. He later became a partner in the practice and for a time was also the Wairarapa coroner. He specialised in civil matters and was known for fairness and compassion in all his dealings, especially at difficult coronial hearings. He was a people person.
