The Otira Rail Tour of 1956

On Saturday 25 February 1956 and in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting of the N Z Railway and Locomotive Society, the Society's Canterbury Branch organised a trip from Christchurch to Otira and return using Vulcan railcar RM58. The day was fine and 71 passengers enjoyed themselves as well as being able to photograph trains at photostops.
