Conservative floods minister Anne Mclntosh has slammed the government's failure to implement Sir Michael Pitt's recommendations on reducing the impact of flooding. But she said it was not certain that the Conservatives would introduce new legislation to enact the recommendations during their first Parliamentary session, should they win the next election. Pitt made a series of recommendations for tighter flood management flood risk in his government-commissioned report on the 2007 floods.
