German contractor Pfeifer this week hoisted the London 2012 Velodrome roof into place, signalling completion of one of the biggest lifts of its kind in the UK.rnCompletion of the roof lift also means the cycling arena is on track to become the first Olympic Park venue to be completed when work finishes in early 2011.rnOlympic Delivery Authority chief executive David Higgins said the lift was a "huge engineering challenge".
