Mutual recognition of qualifications arrangements between the UK and the European Union ended on 31 December 2020 after the Brexit transition period ended. The ICE said members should be aware of the following: 1. Previous recognition decisions are unaffected 2. Applications for recognition already in progress should continue under the previous rules 3. UK legislation ensures that individuals with European Economic Area (EEA) or Swiss qualifications will be able to seek recognition in the UK 4. The ICE will adapt its EU route to membership to help candidates find the appropriate pathway. Contact erp@ice.org.uk for more information 5.
