Outline of SET protocol

摘要

Today electronic payment systems utilizing SET (Secure Electronic Transaction)-based protocol have been developed not only for credit card processing but for bank account pay- ment processing as well in Japan, and NEC has been sup- porting such initiatives positively. On the other hand, there are few documents that describe SET protocol for beginners so that this paper intends to be a concise descriptive materi- al on SET protocol.
