The investment for information systems has been targeted to the mission-critical/legacy system,including divisions' systems such as production, sales, administration, accounting and personnel management. The current market situation makes the companies difficult to make a distinction by technologies, products and prices and it has become a critical factor to acquire and mintain the customers for a company to be more competitive and to have good enterprise management. In such a situation, it is more important to empower the front office, divisions such as sales, customer support and those who come into direct contact with customers, to achieve further customer satisfaction. This paper describes the background and purpose of Integrated FO Solution, which is the framework solution to empower the front office by practical use of information technology.
