First, let me say that I am deeply honored by your confidence in my ability to lead this wonderful organization during the next two years. Rick Hepburn has done an outstanding job as President, and he has left some large shoes to fill. I'll do my best to follow the example he has set during the past two years and will work with the headquarters staff and our many volunteers to keep the Society humming along-vibrant, relevant and engaged in the furtherance of the profession of naval engineering.rnAs do most other leaders when they move into a new position, I've thought about goals and objectives for both myself and ASNE during my time in office. At present, I have only two, but I'm sure the list will expand into other areas over time.
