SECRETARY'S NOTES

摘要

In a previous issue I reported to you that staff reductions and other efforts to cope with a serious operating deficit had contributed to significant delays in publication of the Naval Engineers Journal. However, I noted that a strong program schedule offered encouraging prospects for the future and a restructured and enthusiastic staff was responding effectively to the increased program workload while at the same time working hard to get back on schedule with publication of the Journal. Now I am pleased to report that our efforts have been successful.
