Chemistry for everyone

The world is changing rapidly, and the chemistry establishment must adapt quickly or fracture. Closed publications, binary software and toll-access databases are being swept away by the emerging philosophies and technologies. Many young scientists do not read or use closed systems, and are increasingly frustrated by out-of-date approaches. Perhaps for the first time in history, the technology for change is in their hands - indeed, several of Blue Obelisks systems were pioneered by undergraduates.
