Ancient stream on Mars

NASA's Mars rover Curiosity has discovered evidence that water flowed at the bottom of Gale Crater billions of years ago. Although scientists have found many hints of water on Mars before this discovery, rounded gravel pieces photographed by Curiosity (left) are similar to rocky outcrops on Earth (right).
