Great strides have been made in the treatment of prostate cancer, but the progression to castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) is commonly lethal. Catherine Grasso et al. have compared whole-exome sequences of tumour and germline tissue from patients with CRPC with those from patients with untreated localized prostate cancer.
