Dyre has devoted his career to studying the molecular structure of viscous liquids - not an obvious route for research that could reduce Denmark's greenhouse gas emissions. But thanks ro a collaboration involving Danish company NCC, a leading producer of asphalt and paving, Dyre's knowledge could help cut Denmark's total road-transport carbon output by at least 5 percent.
