RNA interference (RNAi) has expanded significantly in the short time since its discovery and several types of small silencing RNAs have now been discovered, including small interfering RNAs (siRNAs), microRNAs (miRNAs) and PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs). Involved in regulating gene expression, RNAi is a powerful gene silencing tool not only for basic science research but also as a potential therapeutic. In this product focus, we highlight new, tools, technologies, instruments, applications and services that are supporting RNAi studies.
