Paul Catsburg is the director of the vessel replacement program at BC Ferries, where he is responsible for the strategic replacement of vessels and the disposal of vessels that are no longer required for service. Before joining BC Ferries, he was engaged in shipbuilding, conversion, and engineering maintenance programs in both Canada and the United States, having extensive experience with the Canadian Patrol Frigate and AEGIS shipbuilding programs. He served as an engineering specialist and senior officer in the Canadian Forces, completing several tours of duty at sea and in senior command and staff positions.
