2014 BMW 435i Convertible

Convertibles have never sold well in the U.S., but sales are down from 2 percent of all cars sold in 2012 to just a measly 1 percent in 2013. I therefore approached the launch of BMW's latest drop-top, the 435i Convertible, with a wary eye. As BMW spins it, the old 3 Series Convertible accounted for a "significant" part of 3 Series sales. BMW is weird with numbers. I was told the U.S.-only manual transmission option in the M5/M6 accounts for "between 10 to 50 percent" of sales.
