Ocean Safety has launched a new highly reflective version of its Jon Buoy man overboard recovery system. A Jon Buoy works a little like a one person life raft. In the event of someone going overboard, the Job Buoy can be released with the tug of a single lever from its hard shell case, whereupon it drops into the water and self inflates, giving the casualty more buoyancy and allowing him or her to be clear of the water as well as easier to spot (it features an inflatable mast). The difference with this latest version is its innovative retro-reflective technology that significantly enhances the visibility of the hi-vis fabric, making it highly reflective and increasing visibility in gloomy conditions.
