Featuring motorized tilt units with an integral diverter function, BS 25 E tray sorters can discharge individually packaged goods in parcels or bags in two dimensions on both sides of the sorter. Because tilt movement is independent of sorter speed, higher speed sortation is possible. A patented, non-contact power transmission system—working on an inductive basis—supplies power to the tilt units, while the commands for discharging goods, uprighting trays and verifying tilt unit status is transmitted with an infrared module. This enables each tilt unit to be controlled independently and individually.
