Compact battery compartment option for 4-wheel truck

The 8 series of four-wheel AC electric lift trucks-with 4,000 and 5,000 pound capacities-may now be specified with a compact, 27-inch battery compartment to facilitate maneuvering in narrow, 12-foot aisles and to accommodate tight turning radius requirements. The slim compartment configuration houses either a 36-volt or 48-volt battery. Because of the smaller battery size used and the lower charger output required, the vehicle saves on initial battery and charger costs.
