Syncing Demand Plans with WMS

Bringing the planning and execution worlds together is a classic problem, but one that can be solved with additional planning tools that sit between corporate forecasting and WMS. For all the capabilities of warehouse management system (WMS) software fed by real-time data capture and communication with automation, a supply chain can't rely solely on its ability to execute to set up its best chance at smooth fulfillment. Effective fulfillment starts with demand planning and the use of other types of planning software such as replenishment planning tools that convert forecasts to meaningful requirements at the distribution center level.
