Now, although The Department of Labor has reported that workplace fatalities have gone down in the past year, it's not necessarily because companies are being safer. It's because there's less work. And though fatalities may be down, injuries involving lift trucks are still many. Do you know how many lift truck-related injuries you've had?rnWhen an operator's momentum changes during work slowdowns, that's when he's most vulnerable to minor injuries. These are difficult to track and identify, but I've heard of companies having as many as 15 in one month. So in a month's time, that's one every other day.
