Crossdocking is certainly not a new strategy. In fact, JCPenney, the focus of this month's System Report, has been practicing it for 30 years. However, interest in the concept has heated up over the past couple years in the retail space and I'm not surprised.rnThe concept is pretty straight forward: Crossocking is the practice of expediting the flow of product from receiving to shipping with a minimum of handling in between. And, of course, the benefits of doing this successfully run deep.
