Biomechanical Analysis of the Movement of Prehension with Obstacle: Comparative Study between Elderly Subjects and Adults

Difficulties of prehension can represent a restraint to the autonomy and to the maintenance of the elderly persons to their residence. In this context, the knowledge of the capacities and limits of the population with reduced mobility would allow conceiving adapted equipements for daily life. Our protocol compares Senior and Adults responses during movement of prehension in cluttered environement thanks to the Cyberglove. The objective is to underline the effects of the ageing on reaching to envision new assistance perspectives.
