Crude oil from oil wells are often fed into a refinery to produce petroleum products such as different grades of aviation gasoline and motor gasoline using streams of alky late, catalytic cracked gasoline, straight-run gasoline and isopentane. This paper expresses the problem of how to produce Aviation Gasoline in the Dantzig-Wolfe Decomposition (DWD) structure of a Linear Programming (LP) model. By expressing the problem in the DWD, the solution to the problem and output from refinery satisfy both the common constraints/requirements of the different grades of the gasoline and the requirements peculiar to each grade of gasoline. This advantage of simultaneous refinery of the different grades results in low cost of refinery when compared to fresh refinery process for each grade of gasoline. Consequently, a solution to the Aviation Gasoline Problem (AGP) of Warri Refinery in Nigeria was obtained using a computer program.
