Everyone has to use a saw from time to time and it is an essential part of an engineer's tool kit. For model engineers especially, it can be a great time saver as well as something to chop bits off with. Like all cutting tools there is a right way to use them. Any saw blade cuts like a line of very small chisels and the cutting is in one direction only. A look at photo I shows what I mean, each of the blades can only cut in the direction of the arrow on the top one. It is not possible to cut the other way.
