Sensitive Drill Feed

The idea for this adapter came about after a telephone call from Derrick Nodes of Kenley, who had asked if I had seen such a piece of equipment advertised at any time. Unfortunately the answer was in the negative. He also mentioned the "Drill extension" that was covered in the M.E.W.No.71, but afterwards this started me thinking and eventually the "Sensitive Drill Feed" came about. Basically it provides an add on to a normal drilling machine, but with separate means of gently applying the feed. The General Arrangement drawing given as Fig 1, and the heading Photo 1 illustrate the device.
