AN ALL STEEL WORKSHOP

A few years ago, circumstances forced me to give up a hired workshop where I ran a rather specialised engineering business, making training aids for parachute training, both civil and military. The machines I could just squeeze into my garage were a Colchester Student, a far eastern Major mill/drill, a Fobco bench drill, a very old "Denbeigh" floor standing pillar drill, a MIG welder and a few other bits and pieces. To say conditions were cramped is an understatement as various woodworking machines were also in residence.
